Now, with Sean Paul’s infectious verse and signature flow, the remix is poised to push the track into the cultural stratosphere — and solidify its claim as 2025’s definitive song of the summer.
“Shake It to the Max” is only the third dancehall track to crack the Hot 100 this decade, following Byron Messia and Burna Boy’s “Talibans II” (No. 99, 2023) and Nicki Minaj’s remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth” (No. 100, 2021). With Sean Paul now in the mix, the record is primed for an explosive second wind on both charts and dance floors worldwide.
“This one had the right energy from early — the riddim, the vibe, the movement — all TUFF!” says Sean Paul. “Moliy’s vocals is definitely catchy, and the way people been reacting to this tune globally, I was honoured to jump on it. Big up Bashment Sound for bringing us together.”
The remix comes on the heels of Sean Paul’s own viral release “TUFF,” part of Bashment Sound’s Bashment Riddim series, further cementing his role as the genre’s global ambassador and one of its most consistent hitmakers..
