Nicki released new music today.

It takes very little to spark interest on the Net. A few days ago, Cardi B’s pregnancy reveal sent news agencies globally, off the deep end. After that, Nicki Minaj paraded her sexy-self across the floor at the Los Angeles  Lakers vs. Houston Rockets game on Tuesday, leaving tongues dangling as she reemerged on the social scene. She’s been off the radar for a bit, laying low in anticipation of the release of her upcoming album. Before that however, the Trinidad and Tobago born rapper, released two new tracks today.

On Tuesday, Minaj pretty much channeled a dominatrix at the NBA game in LA, donning a black patent leather and fishnet ensemble, uniquely pulled together by a pair of spike-covered knife pumps from Balenciaga’s Spring 2018 collection. Minaj definitely scored points at the game for making a public appearance that would certainly be on everyone’s lips in the lead up to her double track release today. The singles, “Chun Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” will make up Minaj’s fourth full-length album. Her previously released album was 2014’s ‘The PinkPrint.’

Take a look at Nicki’s hot-gal ensemble and let us know whether you think she created the desired effect.

Another legend has left the earth. The Mighty Shadow, one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most unique calypsonians passed away at hospital this morning. He was 77 years old.

Word of his death has since spread like wildfire on social media as many send their condolences to family, friends and members of the cultural fraternity in Trinidad and Tobago.

Shadow was well admired for his unique style of vocal and stage execution. Always donning black, the veteran artist would wow crowds with simple theatrics and a bounce that many will forever know as “The Shadow”.

A former Road March King of Trinidad and Tobago, Winston Bailey contributed many carnival anthems during his career. In 1974 he had stolen the Road March race with a song called “Bassman” and in 2001 he did it again with “Stranger”. But beyond that, Shadow’s delivery of songs like “Poverty is Hell” spoke to the psyche of the nation’s people. EBUZZTT has learnt that the calypsonian was due to receive an honorary doctorate from the University of the West Indies this week. He is said to have died this morning at the Mt. Hope Hospital after suffering a stroke on Saturday.
