Countless hit singles and an authentic charisma that makes us all know that Blaxx is one of the real ones, is enough for us to fight to ensure that he stays with us much longer. In fact, so impassioned is artiste and DJ, Dawg E Slaughter about ailing entertainer Dexter ‘Blaxx’ Stewart’s medical condition that he has started an effort to help cover medical expenses for the ‘Breathless’ singer.

Blaxx has reportedly been ailing for approximately three weeks. It is understood that he has suffered kidney complications but is steadily recovering. EBUZZTT was unable to speak directly with the artist, however persons close to him explained that he is resting and recuperating.

When news emerged that Blaxx was ill, Dawg E Slaughter jumped into action, first requesting the artist’s permission before spearheading a drive to generate funds from fans and anyone who felt compelled to contribute in anyway that they could. Bank account information was shared and reposted by artistes like Destra Garcia and Shurwayne Winchester. The effort however became a talking point among some on social media who began questioning why the artiste should be assisted when “soca artistes make their millions.” Utterances like this one, and others of similar expression has led to much hurt by some members of the Soca industry. One artist, speaking on the condition of anonymity told Ebuzztt that it’s sad that the general public continuously chooses to condemn Soca artistes, when in reality, their perceptions of soca music’s creators are far from the truth.

With the exception of Soca’s veteran heavyweight, Machel Montano and a few others, the soca music industry’s contributors, according the artist, have struggled for years and now, with the pandemic, the savings of those who may have managed to save, could be exhausted. “Nobody is working and everyone of us have families, just like everybody else,” expressed the entertainer.

Today, one day after posting banking deposit details in aid of Blaxx’s medical expenses, Dawg E Slaughter cleared all speculation surrounding whether Blaxx himself had been asking for public assistance. He said Blaxx had no desire to ask for anything from the general pubic, however he personally felt the need to act and so, he sprung into action and will continue to encourage persons to help the Roy Cape frontline artist. “You can’t buy another ‘Blaxx’ at Massy Stores,” Slaughter said, urging fans worldwide to keep the entertainer in their prayers.

Persons wishing to contribute financially in Trinidad and Tobago can do so using the following information:

Republic Bank
San Juan Branch
Trinidad W.I.

Account # 320-801-024-001

Approximately 5 weeks ago, Blaxx released a new single called, “Same Way.”

We’re out here looking for the tips to ease you up this Saturday as you make your way around whichever city you’re in, around the world. With all this masked up action, we thought it’d be good for the ladies who are devoted to staying LIT when it comes to beauty, to get a tip or two on minimalist beauty hacks that could keep the fire burning all through COVID-19… so here goes.

THE MASCARA, HIGHLIGHTER, TINT HACK.

If you’re heading out the door and need a quick spruce up after the hair’s been pulled back and all that, we recommend this quick hack!

  1. Grab a gentle mascara that won’t irritate your eyes. Our favourite is the L’oreal Voluminous Mascara.
  2. You’ll need a good highlighter that guarantees AM-PM glow.
  3. When it comes to those lips, we suggest something that looks super natural but subliminally sexy – maybe something in a pale blush.
  4. You then tap the highlighter over your brow bones, cheek bones, bridge of your nose, Cupid’s bow, chin, and the inner corners of your eyes. Blend well! Then top it off with that voluminous mascara and your choice of lip colour. You’re all set!

The Headscarf Hack.

When it comes to hair, we all know that most women fuss the most over this aspect of their lives. For some, protective hairstyles are the only option that ensures lowered anxiety. With that in mind, we’d like to suggest the use of beautiful headscarves this Covid-19 period. Headscarves do not have to cost you an arm and a leg. Grab those beautifully patterned, silky scarves if you’d like to catch the eyes and attention of onlookers, but cotton wraps work well too. Check out a few tying and styling options that are equally beautiful, and easy to accomplish.
