T&T’s Attorney General Thrown Under the Bus after Breaching COVID-19 Orders, Attending ‘Vibes with Voicey.’

It may have been a move for charity but Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley was unforgiving on Saturday, condemning the action of his attorney general, Faris Al Rawi. The AG had been a part of Thursday’s season finale of Vibes with Voicey- a virtual show, hosted by entertainer, Voice.

The weekly Instagram show, anticipated by thousands each week, was attended by Bunji Garlin and Fay Ann Lyons, police Superintendent Roger Alexander, well known bodyguard, Kevin Da Costa and others. Reports state that there were more several people gathered for the live show and photos showed that during the gathering those present had not been wearing their masks. Asked about the AG’s breach of regulations during Saturday’s COVID-19 media conference in Trinidad, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley said he was disappointed, adding that no one would receive a free pass.

Earlier on Saturday, the AG had posted photos to social media, highlighting his presence at the event. He said there had been just 6 persons in attendance. “I’m thankful to have stepped away from the suit and tie, sat back and supported charitable games with some very special people. Finding innovative ways to have clean inspirational VIBEZ in these unprecedented times. The 6 of us had a fantastic time,” he wrote.
