Tribe Launches ‘A New Dawn’ This Weekend – All Weekend Long.

They did MELÉ  in 2022 and while there was no carnival in Trinidad and Tobago to kick start the energy that the event would’ve ordinarily fed from, the fun and excitement in Cancun, Mexico, surpassed expectation.

Now, all eyes, ears and energy’s on Carnival 2023 in Trinidad and Tobago. This coming weekend, Tribe with its band of festival brands, launch ‘A New Dawn.’ In fine Tribe Carnival style, the launch will culminate on Sunday, after events being hosted on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd, in Trinidad. Dubbed, SUNSET WKN, carnival lovers and fetters are preparing to lime, sweat, fete and jam.

HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING

It all kicks off on Friday, along Ariapita Avenue, with the SUNSET THEATRE from 6pm. This is the event that will deliver all that T&T and the world has missed about our creativity, mas and culture. According to Tribe, all aspects of carnival will be showcased in 7 shows along the Avenue, all sponsored by Carib Beer. This is being dubbed the launch of carnival!

On Saturday, the Tribe family hosts SUNSWEAT, a health and fitness event, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain. Viking Ding Dong is among those expected to join the Tribe team from 7am to 10am. Later, on Saturday night, it’s all about the launch of the bands at the Jean Pierre Complex in Port-of-Spain. Then on Sunday, fete lovers are in for a thrill with the JAM from 3:30pm at the Hasely Crawford Stadium. It’s a weekend of high energy enjoyment, and according to Tribe’s CEO, Dean Ackin, the intention was to feature the full range of carnival experiences in one weekend and that’s what will be going down. He said he is really looking forward to the reaction to the final product.

Tribe Carnival’s group of festival brands is made up of, TRIBE, Bliss, The Lost Tribe, Harts, Rogue The Band and Pure.
