Documentary on Barbados’ Rihanna Coming in 2 Months.

Caribbean songstress, Rihanna will be showcased to the world in her very own biopic in two months time. According to director Peter Berg, the documentary has been in the making for the past three years.

Rihanna who appeared in Barbados for the wedding nuptials of her longtime pal Sonita Alexander on Saturday was photographed with Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) in Cuba last week, where they were both said to be shooting scenes to a movie called Guava Island, being directed by Atlanta’s Hiro Murai.

On the upcoming documentary on the 30-year-old ‘Love on the Brain’ singer, Berg said it’ll be a pretty comprehensive profile of what goes into making Rihanna this incredible talent that she is. He did not disclose the name for the biopic however. Berg and Rihanna originally worked together on the singer’s first film, “Battleship” (2012), which was loosely based on the Milton Bradley board game.

On New York’s Hot 97 last week, Berg praised Rihanna’s work ethic as like nothing he’s ever seen.

As the crime situation in Trinidad and Tobago continues to leave many on the twin island with a bitter taste in their mouths, another local artiste has stood up in protest, using his platform to draw attention to the problem. RKG’s new single, ‘Flatline’ comes on the heels of a recently released track by Gospel singer, Jaron Nurse, that deals with the same issue of crime.

Drug abuse and gang warfare are plaguing the country. RKG says he had been in studio, prepared to lay the vocals for another ladies anthem when something struck him. “I suddenly felt like I needed to contribute something positive,” he said in a chat with EBUZZTT. The song speaks about a young man who got caught up with guns and was murdered. The second verse speaks about a young woman who got caught up with a gangster. She also died. The track’s message deals with the inevitable consequences that face people who choose negative lifestyles.
