The mother of two boys, RZA and Riot made a bold post on her social media platform on Monday, suggesting that her fans should vote for the democratic nominee. She shared a video with the words, “POV me trying to sneak into the polls with mu son’s passport #votcauseicant.” Beneath the video she wrote, “when protecting pu$$I*s and firing pu$$I*s can happen all in one vote. #votecauseicant #TanSuitSeason. The latter hashtag references the colour suit worn by the democratic nominee in August when she boldly embodied Barack Obama’s controversial beige style.

Rihanna has been living in the United States since 2005 but remains a citizen of Barbados. Her expression of being ineligible to vote in the US Presidential elections has since sparked debate and ongoing banter on the singer’s Instagram account. Wanting to secure the border is akin to shutting the door to your home. It’s not even a locked door, it’s simply shut. All you gotta do is open it & walk in. There is a right & a wrong way to come inside. The people who are against having a secure border are essentially saying it’s okay to break a window & enter in that way,” wrote one person, adding, I’m sorry this is such a foreign concept for so many but it really stems from a lack of education. America is the land of the free, & that is still true. “enter ye your huddled masses” is proof that the invitation still stands, all we ask is that you use the damn door. Why are so many against that? Y’all wildin. This is exactly why celebrities shouldn’t be posting their political opinions. How’re you gonna misguide your fans? Stick to music sis. Rihanna retorted, “Where were you in Jan 6 sis? Stick to your discounted crotch. We out here fighting for its rights!”

Beneath other contrary posts, Rihanna lashed back fiercely, referring to some people as ‘illiterates’ “Shut up Karen,” she wrote beneath a post that read, “Illegal voting is a crime. Maybe she should be arrested for trying.”  A comment that spoke on the issue of illegal immigrants, deportations, abortions and foreign conflicts, saw Rihanna respond with, you’re f*cked! and so is the America you dream of. Hope you don’t have to find out the hard way.”

Rihanna pays taxes as a resident of the United States however without US citizenship, she is unable to cast her vote. Her sons, RZA and Riot, along with their father, A$AP Rocky, are US citizens.

Music mogul Sean Diddy Combs has been arrested in Manhattan after a grand jury indicted him. It is reported that the disgraced music executive was taken into custody by federal agents with Homeland Security.

Combs has been facing major public scrutiny since his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura accused him of sex trafficking and years of abuse in a 2023 lawsuit. Most recently, he was accused of years of psychological and physical abuse in a lawsuit filed by singer Don Richard.

In a statement, Diddy’s attorney said in part, ” we are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He is an imperfect person, but not a criminal. He looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
