Archived: Lil Saint Delivers VIP Summer Banger, But Wants It To Be Much More.
Trinidad and Tobago artist, Lil Saint MTG and his team of creatives are at it again, whipping up a summer banger that’s likely to get instant reaction this August, and much like other entertainers facing the restrictions of the pandemic at this time, the entertainer’s doing his part to keep fans engaged and his female audience in particular, on their toes.
The new single, ‘V.I.P’, comes complete with a brand new music video that features some conventionally hot action, but according to Saint, whose real name is Akeem Williams, “it’s merely artistic expression.” With no harm intended, the artist says he really wants to highlight the beauty of women across the Caribbean. “We have so many talented women of extraordinary appeal. They’re all worth our admiration,” he said coyly. The song’s undertone, while raw and real, for Saint, holds even greater meaning. “Our generation is a bit different. We’re more open to straight forward, blunt expression. The song delivers that without a doubt, but I also want all women to understand that they’re queens and deserve to be treated as such,” he said.
Music his passion, Saint says he understands the importance of sharing his gift with the world, but also understands the market he’s a part of. “We’ve got to entertain and sometimes it’s tough to do that while sharing uplifting messages, but with this particular track, I want ladies to dance and be themselves but still know that as a male artist, I value them as professionals, caretakers, businesswomen and all else. Women contribute in a really meaningful way to all of our lives, and it’s time for us to all respect that,” he said.
Saint is well known in Trinidad and Tobago for his involvement in the Hip Hop and Rap fraternity, however, in recent years, he has welcomed evolution, dabbling in other genres, inclusive of Soca and dancehall music. He’s excited to bring this project to life. “This is for all the ladies the world over, who are focused and committed to being their best selves, no matter what careers they have, or what their personal aspirations may be. We respect and love them for who they are and all the fun and hope they bring to all our lives,” he said.

Kes The Band’s ‘Roots, Rock, Soca’ Tour Concludes with Sold-Out International Success.
Kes the Band has officially concluded its highly acclaimed Roots, Rock, Soca Tour, marking another groundbreaking moment in the band’s remarkable journey. The international tour captivated audiences across the United Kingdom, Europe and North America – making history as the first Soca act to sell-out stadium shows in the United States and to sell out the RBC Amphitheater in Toronto, Canada with 16,000 fans.
The tour featured sold-out shows in major music cities such as London, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York, and its final stop in Toronto – with thousands of fans gathering night after night to experience the signature sound, musicianship, and infectious energy that have made KestheBand one of the Caribbean’s most influential live acts.
The ‘Roots, Rock, Soca’ Tour became a celebration of culture, connection, and community. Each performance in the concert series showcased the band’s ability to transcend borders and generations, bringing together audiences from diverse backgrounds through music rooted in Caribbean identity. With energetic performances spanning storied venues such as Forest Hills Stadium in New York and The Bellwether in California, Kes the Band continues to cement its place in history as an enduring, generational force that bridges rhythms, unites audiences, and elevates the heartbeat of Caribbean culture in communities across global borders.
Led by charismatic frontman Kees Dieffenthaller, the band’s world-class lineup includes Dean Jameson drums, Jon Dieffenthaller on guitar, Riad Boochoon on bass, Mario Callender and Geiron Mangon keyboards, and Robert ‘Robbie Styles’ Persaud on DJ and Ableton. Together, they delivered dynamic performances that combined exceptional musicianship with the unmistakable spirit that has become synonymous with KestheBand.

Dancehall superstar Charly Black, whose global smash “Gyal You A Party Animal” has amassed more than one billion streams worldwide, joins forces with St. Vincent Soca hit maker, Kevin Lyttle, whose timeless international hit “Turn Me On” has generated hundreds of millions of streams. That single remains one of the most recognizable Caribbean songs ever recorded.
