Jahmiel performed at SXSW last weekend.

Jamaica’s reggae artistes continue to grind and shine. ‘Things Take Time” singer, Jahmiel performed at South By South West (SWXW) in Austin, Texas this past weekend hitting the stage alongside,  Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean first, and then on Friday, performing at the  Global Fest and Paligrossa. It was certainly the perfect opportunity for any young, caribbean artiste to be highlighted-  South By South West, having over the years, opened the gates for emerging global talent.

“Performing in front of a non-Caribbean crowd is always an eye-opener, it allows you to see how far your music is reaching, how much work you have put in as well as how much further you need to go.” – JAHMIEL.

Ebuzztt.com understand that while the young sensation performed a number of his hits like, “Gain the World”, “U Me Luv”, “Things Take Time”, “Where Were You” and “True Colours”, it was Strongest Soldier  that was the biggest song at each show.
“The promotion we’ve put into ‘Strongest Soldier’ and continue to put in, makes me realize, its just time and hard work as well as many of the people resonate with the message in the song,” he said.

Jamaican dancehall heavyweight Charly Black celebrates his birthday today and he’s promising fans an exciting weekend.  The artiste, in an interview on RED 96.7FM in Trinidad this morning, said he’s chosen Trinidad to celebrate this weekend all because of his fanbase on the island of Soca. Black collaborated with Soca boss, Machel Montano in 2017 on a track that has since remained incredibly loved. That single was called, “VIP Girl.”

Charly Black has amassed global popularity. He is one of dancehall music’s leading artistes at this time.

Even as Jamaica’s carnival is in full swing and several of T&T’s soca stars are on that island, Charly told the public today that his fans in Trinidad have shown him a love that he cannot deny or turn a blind eye to. “Trinidad is my second home so at the end of the day, I always have to make sure I do the right thing.
