Jamaican dancehall heavyweight Charly Black celebrates his birthday today and he’s promising fans an exciting weekend.  The artiste, in an interview on RED 96.7FM in Trinidad this morning, said he’s chosen Trinidad to celebrate this weekend all because of his fanbase on the island of Soca. Black collaborated with Soca boss, Machel Montano in 2017 on a track that has since remained incredibly loved. That single was called, “VIP Girl.”

Charly Black has amassed global popularity. He is one of dancehall music’s leading artistes at this time.

Even as Jamaica’s carnival is in full swing and several of T&T’s soca stars are on that island, Charly told the public today that his fans in Trinidad have shown him a love that he cannot deny or turn a blind eye to. “Trinidad is my second home so at the end of the day, I always have to make sure I do the right thing. I could never leave out Trinidad.”
