Wondering minds can now rest easy with confirmation today that Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin and Skinny Fabulous’ collaborative 2019 hit single, ‘Famalaay” will officially contend for the Road March title.

The trio have been creating waves at fetes with their collaborative hit single, ‘Famalay.’

Trinidad and Tobago nationals, Ian Alvarez and Machel Montano, who are both members of the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation (TUCO), have registered the song. The track, has received immense fan fare, and by all accounts, is the most popular refrain at fetes this Carnival season in Trinidad and Tobago.

‘Famalay’ was released in January and has since amassed over 3 million views on YouTube. An official video was released this week with heavy emphasis placed on artiste camaraderie and the authentic Caribbean energy that’s symbolic of Caribbean feting and the carnival vibe.

Making cameos in the video are Barbados’ Alison Hinds, Voice, Preedy, Ravi B, 5 Star Akil, Lyrikal, St. Lucia’s Teddyson John and several other entertainers.

Say goodbye to the full covered undies and hello to all that batty, because Miami Carnival proved a very poignant point, and that is, a derrière, no matter shape, size or color, is now the focal point in any carnival.

Shenseea at Miami Carnival 2019

It’s been a little taboo over the years- the whole concept of completely baring the butt, especially if you’re a little on the chunky side but this past Miami Carnival we saw it all! The ladies weren’t afraid to bare their butts and so normal it’s become, even the men show no increased excitement about catching a glimpse… or in this case, a whole damn view. The saying goes, “ a woman should leave something to the imagination.” Well friends, that’s a very old saying and judging by today’s lifestyle and entertainment trends, we’re on our way to complete nudity in about 10 years. Start counting it down.

With all this in mind, we figured we’d offer a few tips to the ladies who wanna bare the booty in T&T for Carnival 2020. We know y’all aren’t about to let the Miami ladies walk away with all the highlight! So here goes:

CARNIVAL 2020 BUTT READY TIPS:

  • Start doing those squats RELIGIOUSLY. Try doing at least 3 sets of 10 every morning before your shower and move it up to twice per day if possible.
  • To ensure your skin’s clean and clear of all marks, try using a blemish cream like Ponds or Vicco.
  • If you’ve got cellulite, you wanna start exercising regularly. Lunges are good, along with other work out techniques. Consult with a good gym instructor or try a 60 day workout programme like HITT!
  • Keep your butt happy by moisturizing. Like any other part of your body, your derrière deserves a little tender loving care too! When you’re putting lotion on your legs, keep the booty in mind! You’ll thank us later!

Love him or hate him, Soca’s reigning Groovy Soca Monarch champ, Swappi has a place in any carnival atmosphere. The singer, prior to carnival 2019, had endured a rough patch, telling Ebuzztt following his Monarch win, that there’d been many times he’d almost given up. Fast forward to October 2019, and Swappi is enjoying life and success.

Miami Carnival was all the rave this past weekend. The Soca artistes all represented well. Whether they hit the big stage at Fairgrounds or performed at private events like Soca Brainwash, Lyrikal and Friends, Rise and Shine or Soca Kingdom, their presence in Miami was definitely certain and spreading the sweetness of soca was the mission.

Ebuzztt caught Swappi in action on Sunday night at the Miami Carnival concert hosted by the Miami Broward Carnival Committee. He was eagerly introduced by Wassi and the A Team Band and almost like he’d been performing for the very first time, hungry to feed a ravenous crowd, Swappi lit up the venue. He’s been enjoying a phenomenal post C2K19 season, hitting the international Soca circuit hard. For artistes like him, the Miami Carnival stage is the last major stage where their talent can be showcased before all eyes and ears become peeled to Trinidad and Tobago.

The Soca stars from across the Caribbean showed up and showed out at this year’s Miami Carnival. Nadia Batson told Ebuzztt that Miami Carnival is always an enjoyable one for her, and encouraged her fans from around the world to be a part of the fun, next year.
