Trinidad and Tobago menswear designer, Ecliff Elie has outfitted many Soca artistes over the years. This weekend his name will receive credit for the outfit that’s set to be worn by reggae hit maker, Jah Cure at the Redemption V concert event being held at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain.

On Friday, Ebuzztt.com learnt that the designer met with Jah Cure at his Rosalino Street design headquarters where the ‘Before I Leave’ singer was measured to ensure he gets the right fit, something Elie prides himself on.

Ecliff Elie has certainly made a name for himself in the Caribbean design industry over the years. Last month he unveiled his brand new resort collection, calling it Dreevait (Dreevay). The collection boasts bright prints with comfortable chino shorts, delivering clean, crisp and stylish looks for any man.

It’s the kind of song everyone needs to hear. For an artiste like Protoje, dubbed one of the architects of reggae’s revival movement, it’s really nothing new. The irony. In a world where a man can be entrapped miles away from his home country, detained for near 10 years, released, and return to being an even bigger symbol of power and positivity than he ever was, proves there are no limits. Buju Banton’s fire blazes on.

Internationally acclaimed multi millionaire music mogul, DJ Khaled’s been a close friend and ally of Mark Myrie, the artiste we all fondly refer to as Buju Banton, for some 19 years. Khaled, a US national born to Palestinian parents, has been grounded enough to know the sweet beauty that can often be found in the harsh rubble of ghetto cultured living. It’s no surprise that his latest album release, an honorary tribute to his young son, Asahd, features a few of Jamaica’s best, among them Buju Banton, Sizzla Kalonji and Mavado.
