It’s been quite a journey for Dexter ‘Blaxx’ Stewart – the Soca artist who, for years, has given Trinidad and Tobago and the world by extension, Soca music that often touches the soul. He was hospitalised in October for health complications, including respiratory issues.

There is now confirmation that Blaxx has been discharged from hospital and is at home where he is on the road to recovery.

Blaxx is said to have had surgery on his lungs while at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, this after his month-long stay at the Medical Associates Private Hospital.

All things having gone well, Blaxx was discharged from EWMSC in Mt. Hope, on Wednesday.
