Maracas Bay Bake and Shark.

Let’s kick it off in the land of steel pan and curry duck! Trinidad and Tobago boasts a number of tasty dishes. The multicultural make up of the twin island Republic means its people are afforded the splendor of varying ethic compliments when it comes to food. In Trinidad and Tobago, even traditional Chinese food takes on a life of its own! You should try it! But here are our top five must have dishes when you stop in to Trinidad and Tobago- even if it’s for a quick business trip.

  • Bake and Shark (with every condiment)
  • Doubles ( with slight pepper and mango/ cucumber)
  • Tobago’s Crab and Dumplin’
  • Beef/ Chicken/ Goat/ Shrimp Buss Up Shot Roti – be sure to get location recommendations though! We like Lovie’s in Tunapuna.

In a YouTube message posted last week, Machel is heard explaining why the inaugural Melee cruise, which was originally carded to sail in May 2021, has been pushed back.

He said plans are still ongoing, but explained that for those who have been strongly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, forcing them to reconsider sailing with the Melee family, refunds would be afforded.
