Exactly one month after her mother passed away, Jamaican dancehall artist, Shenseea, hit the stage again, performing at Reggae SumFest’s first virtual concert.

The artist, on her social media page, following her performance, said :

“The time was short but we made the best of it 🙏🏼 @reggaesumfest #Virtual2020 🔥 I’m amongst two of the BEST performers for the night @dingdongravers@uptopboss_official I’m proud of y’all.”

In an interview with the Fader Magazine, Shenseea credited her mother for her outspoken nature and headstrong temperament. Beneath a photo of her mother that she posted to Instagram on June 25th, the young artiste said:

“Mommy my heart is BROKEN Mommy broken. I never knew I had this much tears until this day! I ask God for strength just strength. I love you Forever #RIP #RIP #RIP my mada and fada ina one!!! Jah know mi mada i’ll never forget you EVER!” she wrote.

Machel Montano’s proving to be a stand up guy. You know how some companies hate giving refunds?…well, seems like the Monk and his cohorts at Tribe Carnival, understanding of the current climate, and the global economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, are extending an olive branch to fetters.

In a YouTube message posted last week, Machel is heard explaining why the inaugural Melee cruise, which was originally carded to sail in May 2021, has been pushed back.

He said plans are still ongoing, but explained that for those who have been strongly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, forcing them to reconsider sailing with the Melee family, refunds would be afforded.
