On Sunday, Soca superstar, Patrice Roberts was in Barbados. Sharing a livestream of her performance at an event on the island, the singer gave fans a view of what she’ll be coming with when she performs at upcoming events this year.

The entertainment circuit’s beginning to buzz again. Patrice performed at Illusions Mas’, Black to Blue at Naparima Bowl in Trinidad on Friday night to a vaccinated audience, eager to fete again. That event has however come under some scrutiny as social media pundits waded into the fact that video footage coming out of the event showed many partying without masks and in some instances, inadequate social distancing at the venue. The event promoter has since defended the show, saying snippets of what actually took place at the venue, could not deliver a true understanding of the protocols implemented and essentially adhered to, by patrons.

In Barbados, Patrice’s crowd also included those without masks. Looking toned and physically amplified, the singer belted out her hit singles, including her popular, ‘Mind My Business’ anthem that has enjoyed viral success over the past few months with celebrities like singer, Chilli of TLC, Jada Pinket Smith, Michelle of Destiny’s Child and even rapper, Method Man chiming in with the soca slogan.
