He’s soaring like no other in the industry right now and there’s no sign that he’s about to slow down. Like a cannon ball of good vibes, Jamaican dancehall superstar, Charly Black has been impressing the world, delivering hit after hit of music that embodies the true character of Caribbean people;  And while the unedited versions of his songs are a far cry from the raunchy, sexually charged lyrics you’ll hear when his music’s delivered in its raw format, the sweetness of his style is incomparable.

Black’s a pretty normal guy- at least by industry standards. In a post Carnival event in Trinidad this past March, Black told the crowd, “I’m drunk like a M%thafu*ker”. His blatant yet humorous truth was appreciated. He meant no harm and the people understood. On the EBUZZTT Instagram page, Jamaican Radio personality, Sparkiebaby wrote of Black :

“Good yute. Him a come from far and he is consistent. He deserves all the success  he is seeing. Yes @charlytrelawnyblack u deserve everything Mr Rio Bueno.”

We’ve been paying pretty close attention to the “Party Animal” singer. Last year that single achieved diamond certification in Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Belize, and Guatemala – having sold in excess of 600,000 units in those territories. Amid it all, he’s seemed to have remained humble and relatively unfazed. On social media, the entertainer continues to keep fans abreast of his life- spending time with his kids and enjoying life as he knows how. In a recent interview with the FADER Magazine, the entertainer spoke of his desire to represent his parish of Trelawny from a very early age.

“I’ve never heard someone say ‘I’m a country man,’ so I decided I’m going to be proud of where I’m from. I’ve been representing my parish from before I even was a star.”

Charly’s winning!

Here are 3 Reasons Charly Black IS WINNING:

  1. He’s making music with lyrics men can relate to and women can enjoy dancing to.
  2. The melody heard in each of his songs is contagious. You can’t help but smile and move…
  3. He is a happy guy with good vibes and a natural yearning it seems, to see people enjoy life and he’s giving them just what they need to do that!
