Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin’s Buss Head tour has been causing a scene around the world. In London, just about two weeks ago, the energy of the dynamic Soca duo whose hatchet burial has subliminally promoted unity, could be felt all the way in the Caribbean. Behind the scenes in what Bunji has described as her instrumental involvement, his wife, Soca beauty, Fay Ann Lyons, has kept the business of things, in check. Last night, with much promotion by the team and anticipation among fans, the New York City leg of the tour took place to a sold out crowd at the Brooklyn Mirage. By all accounts, the event was EPIC.
The Buss Head event started at 3pm and by all social media accounts, the venue was filled to capacity. Merch on sale, fans had the opportunity to get their Buss Head hats and tees at the venue. The business of Buss Head is definitely thriving.
The show saw appearances by Platinum selling recording artist, Jamaica’s Kreesha Turner, Grenada’s Mr. Killa, St. Lucia’s, Teddyson John, Barbados’s King Bubba,
Fay Ann Lyons, Bunji Garlin, Machel Montano and in a surprise entrance, NYC rapper, Busta Rhymes. Of course, Busta turned it up, delivering his hit single, “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See” to kick it off. He went on to call out his Trini fans, screaming “Trinidad, Trinidad!”
