Asked about his birthday wishes, M1 said he would like God to continue blessing him with career growth, adding that he hopes he’s blessed with a successful debut album in 2018- his first as a solo artiste. He says he’s been categorized by many people as one of the most underrated artistes in Trinidad and Tobago and while this may be true, he doesn’t allow it to bother him. “It keeps me going. I think it may be true because many people underestimate me. It’s something that I keep working on, to prove them wrong. Some people said I wouldn’t last a year as a solo artiste, and I’ve proven them wrong,” he said.
M1 is hosting an event in Sangre Grande on Saturday, November 4th. He says his friends in the business will be at “The Big People Party” in full support, among them Isasha and Ziggy Rankin. The event, he told us is an old school versus new school vibe, in celebration of his birthday.
M1 is working hard behind the scenes. He says he’ll be coming with a variety of songs very soon. “This year I got the opportunity to work with a lot of different producers. This time around, a lot of different producers checked me, many of them I never had the chance to work with before and the songs will be coming rapidly, ahead of 2018.”
The video for his new track, ” Wining Ruler” is set to premiere very soon, he told EBUZZTT. Work continues on that, to ensure that the finished product is perfect for the song he’s excited about right now.
