His words of hurt and strength poured out via social media earlier as dancehall hit maker, Konshens dealt with the sudden and tragic suicidal death of his elder sibling, dancehall artiste Delus- real name, Delmark Spence. According to news out of Jamaica, the 35-year-old is believed to have shot himself in the head while in a bathroom of his two-storey house in Havendale, St Andrew on Wednesday night. Reports are that neighbours told police they saw when Delus’ girlfriend drove home at around 7 p.m. and rushed toward the house screaming “No! No! No!” Residents reported hearing explosions at around 7:05pm. According to the Jamaica Star, police have since said an amateur video was sent proportedly by Delus to his girlfriend, who had rushed to the house in a bid to stop him from committing the act.

On his social media page, reggae artiste, Tarrus Riley posted a blacked out image with the words, #gonetoosoon. It is reported that he was among those who went to the scene of the incident, to lend support to the bereaved.

Delus was known for songs such as What Tomorrow May BringAnother Gal, and She is Happy.
