Off the heels of an epic headlining performance in Toronto at Drake’s OVO Fest last weekend,Bunji Garlin heads to the US state of New York from August 31-September 5th just in time for his “Turn Up” album launch, which is carded for September 1st. He’ll also land in the Big Apple just in time for New York’s Labor Day Parade.
Bunji’s album is set for release on September 1st.
VP Records, in a media statement, said, Bunji’s long awaited “Turn Up” album follows his explosive album/single “Differentology (Ready For The Road)”. It highlighted that in 2013, the Major Lazer/ Busta Rhymes remixed single received a Soul Train Award for Best International Performance, was featured on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, won NYC’s HOT 97 FM’s Battle of The Beats competition and chosen by NPR as one of the year’s favorite anthems, as well as MTV Iggy’s Song of the Year. In addition to that, Bunji made his national TV debut on BET’s 106 & Park on May 1, 2014. Now, that’s some good reflection!
Bunji’s latest project “Turn Up” will be released on VP Records and features the hits ‘Big Bad Soca’, ‘Turn Up’ and ‘Road Bunx’.
“Turn Up” is a collection of carnival hits, dancefloor burners and future facing music from an entertainer who’s revered as one of the Caribbean’s major voices.
