While Fay-Ann Lyons’ latest video release is the order of the day, all with her team’s moves to ensure publicity is on par with the video’s successful receipt by music lovers, we couldn’t help but let you guys know that now there’s word that Lyons-Alvarez will be cooking this weekend, and we’re all invited.
Ok. Well, maybe not all of us. Today, Fay-Ann told fans she’ll be cooking at the annual Jamaica Jerk Fest being held in Washington DC on Sunday. On her IG, the Soca ambassador told fans that she’s been informed that she’ll be going up against popular television anchor, Michelle Marsh. The pair will be a part of the Celebrity Quick Fire Challenge and will be given a box of secret ingredients with which they’ll each have to whip up a dish. The dished delivered by both Marsh and Lyons-Alvarez will be tested for taste. Their performance and overall presentation will also be judged.
So, we all know Fay-Ann’s a badass in the kitchen. That woman has left the road on Carnival Tuesday, returning to her home to cook for her husband – something that’s very rare in this day and age. Meanwhile, Lyons-Alvarez did a great job at promoting her single, ‘Girls’ on Great Day Washington this morning. She performed the single in a full-fledged stage show that had the effects of wining masqueraders, much like what’s expected when folks come to Carnival in T&T.
