Will Destra Garcia welcome another child in the near future? Well, she’s certainly thinking about it. In an exclusive one on one interview with EBUZZTT, all the way from Berlin, the Queen of Bacchanal told us that she’s been playing with the idea of family expansion and admitted to bumping heads with the challenges faced when she’s away from home on tour- this year especially being quite a bumper travel experience. Despite the rigors of her hectic life as one of the Caribbean’s most toured entertainers, Garcia says the stage is an incredible part of her life, so will she step aside, trading the celeb status and bright lights for a life at home?
In the past few months, Garcia has taken her show to numerous destinations. She’s filled in her fans along the way, posting videos from the destinations travelled to, to her social media accounts. In Martinique she rocked, and in Ibiza, Spain a couple weeks ago, the Laventille born beauty, met up with fellow Caribbean hit makers, Voice, Skinny Fabulous and Mr. Killa. She’s performed in St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Nevis, Antigua, Jamaica, Venezuela and Toronto already this year and we’ve still got a way to go before T&T Carnival 2018 comes around again. Garcia’s undoubtedly an artiste in demand. When asked how she’s afforded so many global gigs, she coyly responds, “I don’t know what it is… I don’t know. I pray a lot. I have a good heart. I think that it’s positivity and goodness and light follows goodness and positivity. It’s a good question because you would think too, why is this happening to Destra. Destra isn’t one of the title holders or a Road March winner. Honestly, I ask myself that question all the time. I believe it just has to be God. I love the stage and I love my fans and I love what I do. There’s no faking it,” she said.
