Day 31 – Kerwin Du Bois

Kerwin Du Bois

A genius by all accounts, singer, producer, and songwriter, Kerwin DuBois, who started off humbly in his youth as a budding Calypsonian, has transcended into one of Soca music’s most deserving and well- respected heroes.

His hits are numerous and each has the ability to offer euphoric vibes that penetrate without external force. Like magnet to steel, so is Kerwin DuBois’ infectious music, to the ear of real, die-hard Soca music lovers. Du Bois, prior to entering the Soca foray wholeheartedly, had been known as one to watch in the Young Kings Calypso arena. In fact, he is a multiple time champ in that regards. His transition to the world of Soca brought with it the adoration of not only fans of carnival and soca, but also fellow entertainers, many of whom flocked to his side, for the magic DuBois touch.

Based in Canada, the humble Caribbean native has created timeless hits. Songs like, “Bacchanalist”, “Posessed,” “Fete of the Year”, “Wettin”, “Too Real”, “Lockdown” with fellow artiste, Lyrikal and in 2017, “Misfits”, have catapulted him to heights far removed from many others in the industry. Kerwin DuBois is always a trendsetter. Many say his music brought a new dynamic in its form and melody, to the Carnival landscape and certainly a master of the Groovy, DuBois never fails to get it right.
