He continues to win. In Bermuda last week, Aaron ‘Voice’ St. Louis proved his excellence as he stood center stage at the Bermuda National Sports Centre and delivered his hits to thunderous applause of appreciation from Bermudian fans. The 24- year- old who has copped Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Monarch twice, continues to enjoy his whirlwind soca adventure, undoubtedly becoming better acquainted with stalwarts in the industry and making new fans along the way.
Rolling with the All Starz, Voice is receiving top class exposure to the business. Earlier this month, prior to leaving Trinidad for a trip to Antigua, the San Juan born superstar said he had new music on the way. His soca hits, “Cheers to Life”, “Getaway” and “Far From Finished,” continue to be anthems for soca music lovers around the world.
Meanwhile, Lyrikal too is enjoying the travel thrills of being a Soca hit maker. The ‘Loner’ has been globe trotting in recent months as well, seemingly making him one of the most sought after soca artistes on the carnival circuit.
Separately, Hollywood carnival culminates in LA this weekend. Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Fay Ann Lyons and T&T Road March King, MX Prime are in that part of the world, representing well for Soca. On Friday, the Trinidad artistes performed at the Main Event at the Belasco Theater, firing up the carnival anticipation before Saturday’s parade of the bands. On his Instagram page, Machel shared a bit of the action, showing off his Epic masqueraders who he said were 500 strong alongside his truck.
