One of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean’s finest young women, has delighted audiences across the world with her strut. Now, she’s working as hard as she can to get the Caribbean to endorse her with their vote as she strives to become the face of Jetset Magazine and an accompanying $100,000 USD grand prize- part proceeds of which, will go to charity. There’s no deterring East Port of Spain, Trinidad homegirl, Athaliah Samuel. She’s been the in game for a bit and she’s faced many challenges and obstacles. One thing she never does however, is quit.
This year, she decided to enter the Miss Jetset competition. The journey thus far, according to the former Miss World T&T representative, has been amazing. “I kept getting the invitation to be part of the the competition and a friend of mine had messaged me, telling me that a friend of hers, had signed her up. That’s when I thought it would be ok to put my best foot forward,” she said, admitting that it’s been quite a challenge getting supporters at home in T&T and the Caribbean to vote. Athalia’s made it to the top 20 in the competition and she’s currently 7th in her group- International Group 10. She faces off with a slate of fellow beauties from around the world and the aim is ideally, to walk away with the prize- a lavish three day photo shoot, $100K in cash and prizes and of course, the opportunity to grace the cover of Jetset Magazine- a space that’s been filled by the likes of Katy Perry,Halle Berry and Scarlet Johansson among other top shelved international celebrities.

She’s currently one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most prominent international models, having even strut the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, Atlantic City Fashion Week, Cayman Islands Fashion Week and other major international fashion shows. “When it comes to design, I’ve had the opportunity to show in many places- some mentioned above and at home in Trinidad and Tobago. I’ve also had the honor of being a National Director for a few international pageants inclusive of Miss World T&T, Miss Intercontinental, Top Model and Ms. Supranational,” she highlighted.
